We Make Mail-In Repairs Easy
You might not know this, but All Mobile Matters has quietly offered mail-in repair almost since the day I opened the doors back in 2009. It’s never been something I’ve shouted about in the store window, but it’s been part of how we do business from the very beginning, and over the years it’s saved a lot of devices — and a lot of stress — for customers who couldn’t just walk in and hand me their phone.
There are a few reasons people end up mailing a device to me instead of coming to see us in person. Most often, it’s simply distance — you’re not close enough to our South Scottsdale store or our Tucson mobile repair unit, whether you’re in Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, or further out. Sometimes it’s someone who used to live close by, moved away, and still doesn’t trust anyone else with their phone. And every so often it’s a repair that’s genuinely hard: a part nobody else can find, or a board-level issue that takes real diagnostic experience to even attempt. Whatever brings you to it, my job is to make the process easy on your end.
How Our Mail-In Repair Process Works
I’ve kept this as simple as I can, because the whole point is to remove hassle, not add to it:
- Fill out our online mail-in repair form to tell us what’s wrong with your device
- We’ll contact you to confirm the details before anything ships
- We send you a prepaid mailing label — no cost to you to send it in
- You pack the device securely and put the label on the box
- Once it arrives, we complete the repair
- We collect payment for the repair and return shipping
- Your repaired device heads back out to you
That’s really it. No guessing, no chasing down a shipping label yourself, no surprise costs at the end.
A Real Mail-In Repair Story: The Xiaomi Nobody Else Could Fix
Here’s one from last week that stuck with me. I got a call from a customer in Florida with a Xiaomi 17T Pro and a broken screen. He’d already called every repair shop he could find locally, and every single one told him the same thing: they couldn’t source the OLED display assembly at any price. So he called Xiaomi directly. Even Xiaomi told him they couldn’t repair it.
By the time he got to me, he was skeptical, and honestly, I don’t blame him. I told him I’d do my best to track down the part and call him back either way. It took a few hours of digging, but I found a display assembly that was an exact match. He was thrilled and agreed to send the phone in. I mailed him a prepaid label, ordered the part, and a few days later I had both his device and the replacement display in hand on the same day.
The repair itself was a little involved, but my techs had it done in about an hour — OLED display restored, and just as important to him, his fingerprint sensor was working perfectly again too. We collected payment, and the phone went right back out in the mail that same day. He was ecstatic, and that’s exactly the kind of outcome I want for every mail-in repair, whether it’s a common screen crack or a part three other shops already gave up on.
What We Repair Through the Mail
Mail-in repairs get the same treatment as anything that comes through our doors. That includes:
- Screen replacement
- Battery replacement
- Back glass repair
- Charge port repair
- Data recovery
- Liquid damage repair
And we do it for all major makes and models of phones, tablets, and laptops — from Samsung Galaxy to Xiaomi and everything in between. If it’s a brand or a repair most shops wave off, it’s usually exactly the kind of thing we specialize in.
Mail-In Repairs Work Great for Local Customers Too
Even if you’re right here in the Valley or down in Tucson, mail-in repair is still worth knowing about. We keep one physical store, in South Scottsdale, plus a mobile repair unit that serves the greater Tucson area by appointment. If you’re in Tempe, Mesa, or Chandler and a trip out to Scottsdale isn’t convenient, mailing your device in gets you the same repair, same technicians, same parts, without the drive. And if you’re in Tucson, you have both options: book our mobile unit to come to you, or mail your device in just as easily. Either way, we’d love to help:
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a mail-in repair take?
Once your device arrives, most repairs are completed the same day or the next business day. Add shipping time on both ends, and most customers have their device back within about a week, sometimes faster.
Is my data safe during a mail-in repair?
Yes. We handle mail-in devices with the same care and privacy as any in-store repair, and for most hardware repairs — screens, batteries, back glass, charge ports — we never need access to your personal data at all.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
You don’t pay anything to send your device to us — we cover that with a prepaid label. You’ll pay for the repair and return shipping once the work is complete.
What if you can’t fix my device or find the part?
It’s rare, but if that happens, we’ll let you know before doing any work and ship your device back at no charge for the diagnostic.
Do you repair tablets and laptops too, or just phones?
All of the above. Mail-in repair covers phones, tablets, and laptops across all major brands, using the same technicians and the same quality parts we use in-store.
