Samsung Galaxy S25 Repair Guide
After spending a good chunk of this year on the bench with Ultras, the standard Galaxy S25 is honestly a nice change of pace. No S Pen silo to protect, no periscope module to work around, no titanium frame to be extra careful heating. It’s Samsung’s smallest, simplest flagship, and while that makes it a friendlier repair than its Ultra sibling, it’s still not quite as forgiving as people assume once you actually get the display off.
The Phone at a Glance

- Chip: Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (used across all markets — no Exynos split this generation)
- RAM/Storage: 12GB RAM with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage
- Battery: 4,000mAh with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging

- Cameras: 50MP wide, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP 3x telephoto, 12MP front

- No S Pen, no microSD slot

How We Rate This Phone
Repairability: 5/10
The battery’s pull-tab mechanism is smooth and predictable, and without an S Pen silo or periscope camera to navigate around, there’s a lot less that can go wrong compared to the Ultra. The sticking point is still the display — the adhesive holding it to the Armor Aluminum frame is aggressive, and prying it off cleanly without cracking the panel or flexing the new frame takes real patience. It’s a straightforward repair, just not a fast one if you’re doing it right.
Durability: 6/10
Armor Aluminum is a genuine step up from the aluminum frames on past S-series phones — it resists bending and denting noticeably better in the drops we see come through the shop. Being the smallest, lightest phone in the S25 lineup also works in its favor, since it’s easier to keep a secure one-handed grip on in the first place. The tradeoff is battery capacity: at 4,000mAh, heavy users pushing the display and 5G connection hard will feel the difference by evening, which shows up here more as a wear-and-tear issue than a drop-damage one.
